Sky-Watcher WAVE Mount

The Sky-Watcher WAVE mount uses a modern strain wave gearbox that delivers high torque in a compact and lightweight body. This design provides excellent precision, smooth tracking, and strong performance at an affordable price.

One of the main advantages of the strain wave system is its minimal backlash and outstanding payload-to-weight ratio. This makes the WAVE mount an excellent choice for mobile astrophotography and for users who need a reliable mount that is easy to transport.

The mount supports both Equatorial (EQ) and Alt-Azimuth (AZ) tracking modes. It features RA and DEC home positions, limit functions, and dual-fit saddles for both Losmandy and Vixen dovetail plates. The wide 0°–90° latitude adjustment range makes it suitable for use in many locations.

For convenient control, the Sky-Watcher WAVE can be operated via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or optionally with the SynScan Handset (not included). It is compatible with the Sky-Watcher SynScan PRO app for Windows, iOS, and Android, and also works with Stellarium, SkySafari, Cartes du Ciel, as well as third-party software such as ASCOM and INDI.

Additional features include a belt-driven stepper motor system with harmonic reducer, RA locking function for easier installation of the counterweight set, RA braking function when the power is off, and a red LED illuminated latitude scale and bubble level for easier setup in low-light conditions.
