Product description

The Celestron Universal Barlow & T-Adapter provides flexible functionality for both visual astronomy and astrophotography applications. In its standard configuration, it operates as a 2x Barlow lens, doubling the magnification of any inserted 1.25" eyepiece while maintaining comfortable eye relief.

For prime focus photography, the lower Barlow section can be removed, allowing the adapter to be inserted directly into a 1.25" telescope focuser. The integrated T-thread connects to a camera-specific T-ring for DSLR or SLR camera attachment.

Some telescopes, particularly fast refractors and Newtonians, may not provide enough inward focus travel in prime focus mode. In such cases, reinstalling the Barlow element enables the telescope to achieve focus.

In Tele-Extended mode, the Barlow doubles the telescope”s focal length and focal ratio, producing an image twice the size of a standard prime focus image.

Prime focus and tele-extended photography are especially popular for capturing the Moon, planets, and terrestrial objects with short exposure times.
