Nexcope NSZ818 Stereo Microscope
The Nexcope NSZ818 stereo microscope is a high-performance professional instrument engineered for life science laboratories, universities, medical institutions, and veterinary clinics. Equipped with an infinity-corrected parallel optical system, the NSZ818 provides high-resolution three-dimensional observations of macroscopic objects and cell cultures in laboratory dishes. This precise optical solution from SkyHunters delivers exceptional imagery for demanding scientific research and routine laboratory work.
Key advantages
- Infinity-corrected parallel optical system for maximum color accuracy, flatness of field, and distortion-free viewing.
- Apochromatic optics with a large numerical aperture (NA) that eliminates chromatic aberration even at high magnification levels.
- Powerful 18x smooth zoom providing an extensive total magnification range for various research requirements.
- Integrated OIC (Oblique Illumination Contrast) system enabling detailed oblique lighting and darkfield contrast options.
- Trinocular head with a dedicated C-mount path and light splitter for seamless transition to digital microscopy.
- Generous 60 mm working distance allowing easy micromanipulation and sample handling.
Product description
The Nexcope NSZ818 features a high-performance zoom module with a 1:18 zoom ratio, providing a smooth continuous magnification range from 7.5x to 135x with standard configurations. The advanced apochromatic design guarantees that the microscope yields sharp, high-resolution, distortion-free images across all magnifications, making it perfectly suited for advanced document imaging and demanding observation scenarios.
Image contrast and depth of field can be precisely adjusted using the built-in adjustable iris diaphragm located directly within the zoom module. The large 60 mm working distance ensures comfortable space for free micromanipulation of the examined specimen.
The wide-field 10x eyepieces offer an expansive 23 mm field of view and are designed with a generous eye relief suitable for spectacle wearers. They also include protective rubber caps to safeguard the lenses from scratching. For users who prefer observing without corrective eyewear, dual dioptric adjustment of -5 to +5 diopters on both eyepiece tubes allows focusing the image independently for each eye.
The trinocular construction provides a third optical path with a native C-mount interface, which allows mounting a digital microscope camera with a sensor diagonal up to 1 inch without requiring additional optical adapters. The built-in light splitter smoothly transitions between the observation modes: standard visual mode (all light directed to the eyepieces) and photography mode (the right eye light beam is redirected to the camera sensor). Additionally, the length of the third optical path can be adjusted to match parfocality between the camera image and the eyepieces.
The large glass plate integrated into the sturdy base allows for safe and smooth maneuvering of laboratory dishes and petri cultures. The focusing mechanism is driven by coaxial coarse and fine (micrometer) adjustment knobs, while the tall column tripod supports samples up to a maximum height of 60 mm. The microscope is equipped with an innovative LED transmitted light illumination system featuring OIC (Oblique Illumination Contrast) technology. A simple manual slider adjusts the incident angle of the light beam, allowing contrast-enhanced topography visualization or darkfield observation.
