Product Description

The entire optical path of the SZX16 (observation tubes, zoom body, and lenses) is completely apochromatic to minimize chromatic aberrations across the entire magnification range. Super depth of field (SDF) lenses deliver sharp, high-contrast images of virtually any specimen — from micrometer-sized manufacturing flaws to internal cellular component structures.

The maximum NA of 0.3 produces a superior resolution of 900 line pairs per mm, making fine microscopic details clearly visible. In quality control testing and failure analysis, this high-resolution performance allows users to distinguish smaller, more closely spaced features in components. It is essential for detecting microcracks, fractures, scratches, surface contamination, or defects that remain invisible under standard lower-resolution microscopes.

With an ultra-high zoom ratio of 16.4:1, the SZX16 provides a magnification of 7x–115x with a 1x objective, and up to 230x with a 2x objective. This wide range makes the model ideal for diverse research analysis applications requiring both low-magnification macro overviews for sample manipulation and high-magnification imaging of microstructures.

The SZX2-ILLTQ LED transmitted light illumination base features a slim profile of just 41.5 mm, lowering the height for a more comfortable viewing angle and easier specimen access. Its quadruple revolver allows fast, seamless switching between bright field (standard/high/low), oblique field (standard/high/low), dark field, polarized lighting, and a shutter with a simple turn. The LED light source guarantees a cooler base surface for safe, long-term processing of living samples, consumes less power, and delivers an operating life of over 60,000 hours.
