The triplet apo is equipped with one of the best lenses in its class. The proven FPL-53 from Ohara (Japan) is used for the apo element. The color-free lens is stored in a temperature-compensated mount that also compensates for sub-zero temperatures. The stable aluminum tube is equipped with inner screens against stray light.

The 3.7" RPA focuser: A highlight of the telescope is certainly the modern "Rack-And-Pinion" focuser with rack and pinion adjustment. The quality of this focuser is close to the well-known Feather Touch focusers from Starlight Instruments. The large dimensioned focuser also allows the use of full-frame and large-frame cameras without shadowing, of course with the appropriate correctors.
